Indian values, in preserving ecological balance

Faced with the prospect of sudden death with nuclear holocaust and of being suffocated to death slowly under green house effect, it is high time of mankind to wake up to its folly and accept that we are only tenants here, like any other being. It is time to synchronize development with ecological balances; that alone can ensure long term  durability of human race, as we know it.

How great is a culture that has acknowledged this very fact, into daily life with a prayer to mother earth

Samudravasane Devi Parvathastanamandale

Vishnupatni Namastubhyam Paadasparsam Kshamasvah Me

O! Mother Earth, who has the ocean as clothes and mountains and forests on her body, who is the wife of Lord Vishnu, I bow to you.  Please forgive me for touching you with my feet.

World is there for us to live and enjoy but it is not made for us alone. Every being on this earth has as much right to live on it as we have.

We occupy this space for while, and we need to make the most of it.. Yet,  even if we are not able to make it better, we  have a responsibility  to hand over this space to future generations at least in the same conditions as we have inherited.

A life is better lived if he enjoyed the stay, made many lives better and happily hand over this space to future in a better state than inherited!
